| 51. I'm trying to hex the Border Collie to be a tan colour - but the ears and tail (just where it turns to white) had black spots on! I tried to fix this by changing the outline colours, but the ears didn't change and the white part of the tail turned black. How do I turn the tail back to white and get rid of the spots? Thanx in advance for help :) |
You need to edit the "Add ballz" section. There is usually a number that repeats a lot and that is usually the one that you change to the new number |
| 52.How do I hex paint the blaze on my petz noses? Also how do I make blazes unique for each pet?

| 53.How do you make the danes' feet big and ploppy? lol. I've been trying, and i have it a little bit, but it doesn't look the same. Also, how do you make a puffy tail?
|
I have a tutorial for "flare legs"
To make the feet big (I assume you don't mean flaring, with the wrists and ankles but the "hand" or "foot" part) increase the ball size for "hand" and "foot" in all four cases (two for each). To make the big fuzzy tails do the same thing...increase the size of the ball (tail1 is at the butt and tail6 is the farthest away) using the 6th number and change the 4th number to 20.

| 64. I can NOT figure out how to get the black eyelids and black ring around the tail on my hex-painted border collies! Can anyone help me?
|
First off, you need to open the file in a hex editor. Towards the top there should be a heading called "Eyelid Colour". Change the first number in it to 35. Now, for the ring. Scroll down further into your hex editor and find the [Ballz Info] section. Go down it until you find the tail balls. Simply change one of the tail balls to black and it will make a ring.
|
| 65. where can you find backup breed files for dogz 5?
|
I would suggest making your own back up before you start hexing anything. Here is where you can get back-up breedz (and other great contents)Go to www.apkc.co.uk and go to offical downloads. Scroll down to what program you have and there you should find the back-up breedz you need.

| 66. Is it possible to make pet's tail longer? (Adding balls past ball6?) And even increase the ending balls into a spear-shaped tassel end? Like a Lion. |
It's all about ball sizes! Go to [Ballz Info] and look for the tail balls. Simply increase the sizeDif! To get a lion tuft on a thin tailed cat (eg: Russian Blue) simply change the sizeDif to 25 & 15 (again, on the russian blue...experiment a little for your own breed). To make the tuft "fuzzy" just increase the fuzz on those two ballz. Hope I've helped!

| 68. Is there any way to make the Russain Blue mini, (The original P.F. Magic Breedfile) and it's eyes larger? I was aiming for the look of a 'baby', with large eyes and chubbiness like you can do with other breeds, but it doesn't seem to turn out that way. It just looks like a small adult, not a 'baby'. Also, for future reference, how do you ONLY change the size of the eye? Notes: I am using Hex Workshop 4.0

| 73.When I tried to make my hexed geat dane show up in the adoption center separatley,it never showed up how come? and when i tried to load my petz game it said ptzfls\dogz\Bootz.bmp missing, what does that mean? |
When a breedfile error comes up like that, it usually means you've altered the size of the breedfile so its corrupted. Make sure you keep back ups to replace the corrupt file. You can check the breedfile size by highlighting the part your going to hex and a number should appear in the corner of the hex editor. Then after youve finnished hexing highlight the same part and that number should still be the same :) Thanks Stacey @ Hula Hoop

| 74. I hexed a Dali breed file so the color is different, but they all come out close to what I asked for, but not quite it. How can I change "individual variation" so they all come out the same?
|
If the problem is the ears or mouth corners, it may be you haven't changed the addballz. A tutorial for that is at: http://www.highly-strung.org/~hex/basic.html#Addballz" If the problem is spots, then it will be individual variation you need to change. Search for "variation" and wherever there is a number meaning black for instance 35 or 244, change it to the spot colour you want. Make sure you don't edit past where it says Thin/Fat though. I think that's right anyway... I've never tried individual variation with dali spots. Thanks Lizzy! from Escapade

| 75.How do you get rid of Cali Patches???? I have tried a million times and I just haven't been able to get rid of them!!! Oh, and how do you get it's tail to go puffy?? |
You get rid of calico patches by searching in your hex editor for "variation". Now, say you wanted to get rid of a calico patch on it's right knee. Scroll down until you see "right knee". Open your colour chart. The patches on the calico must be the same colour as one of the colours on there. If you think the patch looks a similar colour to colours 100-109, look for any numbers within that after it says "right knee" in your hex editor, and replace them with the colour of your choice, e.g. 244. Make sure you replace all of the colours in that category to ensure the patch disappears, or changes colour. NOTE: you may have to get out several calicos in the adoption centre, as these changes may only have worked on one of the colours/types of that breed. [I haven't worked that out yet.] To make the tail go fuzzy you need to use the poofing and fuzzy tutorials on http://www.highly-strung.org/~hex but to make just the tail fuzzy change just the tail's numbers. Hope I helped ;)
