| 25. How do you Hex a Dogz nose without going over the white
parts? |
to hex a petz nose without going over the white parts simply dont color the nostrils.
|
| 26. If we show a downloadable pet from RPP, should we keep the RPP
prefix? |
This isnt really a hexing question but no, you don't have to.. It's cool if you do but no biggie! And you can change thier call name if you like.. that has been asked before as well.. |
| 27. I was wondering how to hex spots onto a Catz. I think I
could figure it out, but I still would like some feedback. I am planning to
make a downloadable breed on my site based on Australian Mists, and I
want to know how to make spots. Please help!? |
This depends on what spots you want, you can
go and take the alley cats spots or the dalmation
spots. Go to the ;individual variation of the
breedfile with the spots and copy and paste there spot
section (;torso for the alley cat and the dalmations
should be pretty obvious) into the breedfile you want.
There will be a lot of deleting of bytes.

Petz ( the ones that appear as little symbols on the tops of their legs )
I found a website that had instructions on how to do this, but I've
lost the URL *tairs out hair*. Thanx!/FONT> |

| 29. How do you change the color of a dogz' nose? i cant figure
it out!! |
Do a search for L nostril. Change the first number to 14 and the next number to the color you want the nose to be...for example 99. So my first number is 14 and my second is 99. Next change the fifth number to 5. Do a search for R nostril and do the same to all three numbers. Now do a search for nose (bottom). Change the first number to the color you want the nose to be and the second to 14. Next change the fifth number to -5. Save and your pet should have a colored nose!

| 30. When I hex a breed and put it in the "dogz" folder my Petz
program wont open, I would like to know why that is. I would also like
to know if ANYONE out there can help me figure out how to hex pet files. |
The breedfile is in someway corrupting the
program, it won't work, You'll just have to start over
again and be careful when you hex it again. Make sure
the bytes are still the same as the original. I
wouldn't recommending trying to hex petz files, it's
too hard. I tried before but that's because I didn't
know it ws he actual breedfile I had to hex, lol.

| 31. How do you hex just a Dog? I know how to hex a breed.... but
how do you just hex a regular dog?...eye color....spots..ect.
|
Basically the same as above, it's basically
impossible because you don't know which bytes are
referring to which part and/or interaction.

eb by changing the colors, ball sizes, size of the
petz, everything. It's all up to you.

| 35. How do you make ears longer? |
At the beginning of the breedfile where it
says [Ear Extension] is where you can make it longer,
this is for the adult sizes so you'll need to scroll
down a bit after the ballz info section to change it
for the puppy. There are ofcourse other ways in
different parts of the breedfile but those are more
complicated for me to explain and know, I normally
just play around with them.

| 36. I wanna know how do u get floppy ears pointy or pointy ears(such as a great dane)to be floppy? This has confused me 4 quite a while. |
This is hard to explain, i'd suggest just
using a file that has already been altered for it.
Carolyn at The Petz Warehouse in one of her tutorials
explains how to make floppy ears though, forgot which
one.

| 37. I've seen these danes with big, poofed up feet. How do you do that? And what is this that I heard about Ball Size Override stuff? |
Flare danes? I have a tutorial on flare legs. Can anyone help with the Ball Size over ride?
This is for the ball size override. The ball
size override is a place where you'll need to go to if
you change a ball size and it doesn't show up. It's
after the ballz info section and comes up as [Ball
Size Override]. Basically you look at the last number
of the particular part that isn't changing sizes and
then go to the ball size override section and find
that number and space it out with the comma and number
after it. So for example, if the last number of L Hip
is 57 (sometimes might come up as a decimal like 1.57)
then go to the ball size override section and look for
57, it might look like 56,8 or something like that and
space that out.

| 38. How do you change a tabbies stripes color? |
Can anyone help? |
| 39. How do you hex dane ears onto another breed, such as a sheepie? |
Suggestions? |
| 40. How do you change the ears on the dali? I only get the right ear pointed... I need help!!! |
Any help? |
| 41. Whenever I try to change the color of dali spots, it only works for the head. How do I make it work on the entire body? I've changed all the "35"s in the individual variation section, so I'm not sure why this is happening. |
Apparently you haven't changed all the numbers
in the individual variation. Remember the dali spots
has a LONG list of spots that you could change the
color, such as the ;torso section and such. So try
changing all 35's (unless it's for the paws) to the
color you want. If it still doesn't work then I don't
know what the problem is, just check back and make
sure.

| 42. Please help! I need to make a Chinook breed! I cannot get one ear pointed and one ear at half lop (bulldog ear)! I have been hexing
a lab and have come very far! I just need the ear thing! |
It's all to do with the lines and stuff, I
suggest going to The Petz Warehouse and asking Carolyn
for help, she's great and will be most possibly be
able to help you. You'll find her e-mail for hexing
help in the tutorials section.

| 43. How do you put hexed breed files into the game after you've downloaded them? |
You need to move that breed file into your C:\program files\pfmagic\resouce\dog or cat folder depending on what breed it is. |
| 44. How do You make dogz/catz invisible besides the nose, mouth, and eyes?(I saw a breed like this called the Chreshire Cat,and was wondering if I could hex one of my own).Thankz!:)
|
Change the size of every ball that you want invisible to -99. Leave whatever ball you want to show up alone. Sent in by: Trix of Silent Gryffin Kennelz

to make a cheshire cat I think you would make the ball size for every ball (but the ones you want)-99 hope this helps

| 45. How do you change the picture of the petz in the adoption center? I saw this somewhere before... |
there is a tutorial on that at this URL: http://www.spiffay.net/P4D/hexing/silvtig_breedimg.shtml . (thanks Lizzy!)
|
46. You know how there are different colored eyed petz that come out of the adoption center? How do you prevent that and add you own colors instead? Ex. I'm making a turkish van and I want to vary the eyes color with brown/blue and blue/brown and brown/brown and blue/blue. And the tail/ears with red and black or just black or just red. Well, reddish. But how would I do that?
|
Assistance please?! :) |

|
| 48. How do you convert a breed from petz3 to petz4?? |
The Pet's Source has a good tutorial for converting breeds at this web-site http://www.spiffay.net/P4D/Downloads/new_page_2.htm
|
| 49. How do you change a catz eye color????..I tried it using the tips from several web-sites on how to change eye colors. The example was a great danes, but that tip only works for dogz
|
Oh! I know this one! woo hoo! ok My hex workshop has died on me. but if I remember correctly you look for L_IRIS and right bellow it is R_IRIS so you change the 2nd number above the body part for the eye. |
| 50. can you shape a patch? |
not that I know of.. does anyone else know? You can create furfiles that look like patches sometimes. |
| 51. I'm trying to hex the Border Collie to be a tan colour - but the ears and tail (just where it turns to white) had black spots on! I tried to fix this by changing the outline colours, but the ears didn't change and the white part of the tail turned black. How do I turn the tail back to white and get rid of the spots? Thanx in advance for help :) |
You need to edit the "Add ballz" section. There is usually a number that repeats a lot and that is usually the one that you change to the new number |
