Paint Shop Pro > Making Petz Look 3D
This tutorial is based on my knowlegde of PSP 6 however 7 is very similar! I'm going to try and be as detailed as possible because I've tried following tutorials in the past and was lost right from the start!
Making Images that stand out with drop shadow
Step 1: Open Paint Shop Pro!
Step 2: Open up a picture you want to edit.
*I chose Jill.bmp*
Step 3: Start a NEW Image!
*THIS BOX WILL APPEAR*
*Have all your settings the same as you see above*
PRESS OK
STEP 4: Now you have got A new Image open and your pet picture open.. I usually put them side by side.. Now you need to find your "magic Wand" ! It's located on your toolbar.
~ Once you have this selected.. Click on the white portion surounding your pet.. now there will be dotted lines all around your pet and the border of the image.
Step 5: Now you must "INVERT" the image! There are a couple ways to do this.. but for this lesson simply go up to SELECTIONS and INVERT.
*Now only the Pet is Selected!*
STEP 6: Here's where your "new Images" comes in.. you need to copy the pet and paste it onto the new image.. so! Go to "EDIT" and "COPY" or on the keyboard press Ctrl + C.
~ Then click inside your blank new images ~
Press Ctrl + P or "EDIT" and "PASTE"
NOW - That Same image is selected inside the "NEW IMAGE" GREAT!! now you can add some effects to it!!
STEP 7: KEEP THE IMAGE SELECTED!
STEP 8: Go up to "IMAGE" then down to "EFFECTS"
*THIS BOX WILL APPEAR!*
